New generations of Jews and Poles often do not find any reason to deepen their knowledge of their shared past. To change this and to shed new light on cultural identity we confronted them with extraordinary stories and portraits of the now disappearing community of Polish-Jewish mothers from the time of the Second World War – the so called “Polnische mame”. For 10 days on a special fan page we published extraordinary photos and fascinating histories of these mothers. This rich and inspirational material slowly disappeared day by day. The fans experienced the feeling of the vanishing community and were encouraged to read these stories before they disappeared.
The Unseen Beauty project was created in order to prove that blind women still have the right to beauty and to feeling beautiful. This was made possible thanks to an online training program as well as offline consultation combined with the purchase of special products created for visually impaired and blind women.
